I used to try to convince myself that not all men are the same... I can't even do that anymore.

In 2000 I was certain that John McCain would have made a good President. Now I have many doubts since he:
A) appears arrogant, pig-headed and heedless of changing facts
B) has been on the wrong side of many issues:
1) McCain-Feingold is a joke and has been less than ineffectual since it opened up a Pandora's Box of other ways to game the process.
2) He's wrong on immigration, having partnered with Ted Kennedy on an amnesty bill ( while McCain has been denying that it is an amnesty bill )
3) He's wrong on "torture" since waterboarding can be used in situations where a utilitarian calculation indicates that many more people will be saved than the one who is discomfited ( and not even killed or maimed ). Also, its use can be restricted to the "ticking bomb" scenario and not used for confessions, punishment, terror or "fun".
My doubts have escalated to the point where I don't want him to be President.

Yes, I used to study the bible alot when I was younger....and when I thought I understood it and had it all figured out....I found out I knew nothing....nothing at all and had to change all of my beliefs.....So, I still believe in God no matter what...but I can not claim I understand the scriptures flawlessly...that would be foolish.

Yeah, all people. I use to trust everyone but now I have trouble trusting anyone. People just want to lie to look better, feel better, or blow them up into something THEY ARE NOT, iT'S really sad people can't just be themselves and improve if they need to be something else. Too Bad
