Slash plays a Gibson Les Paul. Epiphone is contracted by Gibson to make a Slash special model! You can get it on Musiciansfriend.com. They are very nice, and I have an Epiphone I love (cost $500 instead of $2000).
You can get a basic model for under $200!)

He plays a signature model Gibson Les Paul, the "Slash" model. I like Gibson Les Paul's too - I'm starting to collect them. I wouldn't mind having a "Slash" in my collection, but I prefer Les Paul Custom Historic Reissue "1968" models. The real 1968 Les Paul Customs are too expensive - I recently saw one on Ebay for a mere $50,000. A good quality reissue model is closer to $2,000, and is easier to get, although they are still fairly hard to find.

How long it takes to learn guitar depends on how good you want to get and how much practice you put in. How good you can get with 1-2 hours a day for a few months depends on what methods you use to practice. There are effective practice methods that will help you make the best use of your time. This course is one of the best. https://tinyurl.im/aH7JD It's not just about how much you play but how effectively you play that will determine how good you will get.
