I've been doing web design lately and got really annoyed with colour v color. I searched ages for an error in my CSS before realising that the Americans had taken over the spelling lol

Americans spell words the way they are pronounced and often remove the redundant alphabets -

1. Rigor/rigor, Color/colour, Favorite/favourite
2. Program/programme
3.Jewelry/jewellery
4. Check/Cheque
5. Yogurt/Yoghurt
