Go to your doctor and ask him/her.

Steroids enhance, they do not give you what you do not have in the way of skills, talent or ability. A non-talented baseball player who takes steroids will be a non-talented, over sized baseball player.

Get in the gym, work out, run, hit, work with your coach, get good grades and work out some more. Play ball 12 months a year, every chance you get. Study the game, learn it's ins and outs, become a strong, fast, Smart player.

Steroids will NOT make you a player - they may make you a stronger player - or they may make you dead.

Steriods are not worth it. If anything, they will hurt you, especially if you're still growing. You will have serious hormonial problems, mood swinks (not to mention your balls will shrink), and it is a lot of money for someone in poverty. It won't make you a better hitter, it will just make you stronger, which won't help you unless you work on fundamentals. Bust your butt during the offseason. Talk to your high school coaches about any showcases you can go to or find out about scouting. Just work hard, play hard, train hard. It is very, very hard to become a major league baseball player. You have to be the best of the best. First, work hard in the classroom and on the field to ensure that you play college baseball (even becoming a college player is very difficult, and if you want to play in the pros you'll have to be on a D-1 team, which is very very hard unless you are incredbily good). Just take things one step at a time. You got your whole life ahead of you, and many opportunities for careers at such a young age. Good luck, and remember, if you work hard (in EVERYTHING you do), you'll keep your options open and it will pay off later. Good luck

You will need a big dose of natural talent and another year to determine if steroids are worthwhile. If you have the talent that is on the margins to get to college on a scholarship, then go for a moderate dosing of steroids. Contrary to the fearmongering, steroids can be safely used.

Professional sports is not a realistic route to seek getting out of poverty.

No it is never worth it because even if it helps you right then and there later in life, the steroids will make your body go way out of ship in a heartbeat, like an early heart attack or early death. My cuz took steroids and he passed away at 32 and he started steroids at 23 so please DON'T TAKE STEROIDS, ITS WRONG AND SOMETIMES IT COULD BE DEAD WRONG!!!

When your body starts to deteriorate in rapid fashion later in life...much earlier and on a greater scale than normal...then you will ultimately realize that taking steroids were not worth it.

Steroids do not improve your ability to swing the bat and make contact with the ball. Practicing does.

Steroids do not improve your pitching mechanics and your ability to throw effectively. Practicing does.

Steroids do not improve your awareness and baserunning ability. Practicing does.

Steroids do not improve your ability to field the ball and to know what to do when the ball comes to you. Practicing does.

Practice as much and as hard as you can. Use the offseason to your advantage and keep yourself in shape. Continue to work on endless drills to improve your hitting, fielding, and throwing. Stay away from steroids, keep healthy, and live a long and prosperous life.

Don't you see those commercials about anti-steroids?

They depress the immune system. They make you angier, increase your blood pressure.

Ken Caminetti used steroids and he committed suicide. If I had a nickel for every high school football player who took steroids and then hung themselves, then I'd have about 10 dollars for every state.

Don't take them. Good conditioning, muscle training and dieting are what you should be doing.

If you're in poverty, you aren't going to afford the stuff those guys are taking. You're 16 years old with your whole life ahead of you. Just bust your butt hitting all year, and hit the weights if you can. If you can't afford the gym, do pushups at home (300 a day at minimum). Get a tee and hit all you can.

No. Sterioiders are being caught every day as we speak right now, securities too tight plus steroids are bad for your body and very unattractive.
