hi tinkz baby
your right : men that don't cry are cold and callous.
you have to morn your dead.
i've had plenty of reasons to cry in the past...lets put it like this
there was 14 in my family . there are only 7 left....i lost them all in the space of a few years....they were very young . my mom was 50 my dad was 54... 3 brothers 1 was 16... 2were 19 ...2 sisters 1 was 33 the other was just a baby who died when i was very young i don't remember her...it was very hard not just for me but for the whole family......
i really think crying helped...thats what i mean when i say you have to morn your dead otherwise you can become very bitter and hateful.... and if you hate yourself you can't love anyone...anyway thats what i think....theres been alot of sadness in my life but i'm not better and makes me want to love the ones that are left even more...
if men don't cry they are fools because they loose the love thats in there heart...
edit: you did the right thing tinkz baby ...i think your a very strong person...you carried that tosser for too long....
its his loss not yours....its no wonder hes wineing...and don't mind his parents...if you think about it its there fault the way they brought him up........

Seriously, it's not just something automatic upon the news of something sad, like it is with women. I used to cry in private about the thought of any of my relatives dying but when one of my grandparents died I just became stoic, didn't cry at all. I can just shake bad feelings off.
Women seriously misjudge men. If you're crying and he's not don't just assume he's saving face. Men are emotionally more stable, it's nature and all stereotypes have a basis in truth.

Not always. A lot of "men" cry over nothing all the time. how about the man that cries only when a loved one is hurt?

Me and my mom are the only females in my family. I can't remember any one of my brothers or dad crying and so now if I ever do see a man cry, it freaks me out. But nothing's wrong with it though. It just means they're upset like us women when we cry.

I would hope most men at least cry a little. I like men that aren't afraid to show their feelings. Men that are too scared to show their feelings are incredibly sad. It shows that their life has been shaped using the stereotypes expected of them. I don't understand men that can't cry; what's wrong with feeling pain? It shows you're human!

I think it too. But it's far easier finding a woman who cries, because of our current western upbringing. When a young girl cries, she's told she's a sensitive girl who expresses freely her emotion, when a young boy cries he's called a sissy and a coward crybaby. So, when they grow up, the woman will fell herself allowed to express freely, the man will always feel judged, and press himself in never crying

I get very upset when I see a man cry. It is very appealing and we want to 'Mother' them but it is out of the norm and upsetting. My father in law who is elderly and in the early stages of dementia cries a lot. He was such a strong man in his day it breaks my heart to see him cry so much now.

Definitely. Makes them more a man. And shows they are human. I don't really respect guys who have that "stiff upper lip" thing cos I like someone who has feelings.
