Was the candidate you were planning on voting on that poll?

No, and all my adjacent neighbors haven't either. We all have VOIP phones or only cell phones. The ones that do have regular phones, also have callerID, and usually will not waste their time on an apparent telemarketing style description.

That leaves very few people willing to participate, and is not usually a good indicator of well informed voters. Oh, and they usually have to have voted in the primaries or general election for their party, in the last cycle to be included in a poll.

Here is a good example of what might happen however, if you were called.

EDIT: Rooster, that's a great idea!

I am on the 'don't call' list, but do have calls for polls and surveys. But have not gotten a call in a while. I do get calls from collectors hunting my half brother and have found that after I explain the situation, they are nice enough to take my number off their list. He's a big time democrat, ot that there are not the same types in the republican patry.. take care.

Focus on the Family called once, as did Pat Robertson's organization asking me to support ONLY those who were ordained by God to run for office. To FotF, I told them I got my guidance from above, not from some nameless drone on the phone. To Robertson's crony, I asked them when God took the day off and left ol' Pat in charge. Neither knew what to say. Finally, the Robertson plant stated 'well as a dedicated Christian, we just wanted to thank you for your support of God's party'. Then I lost it, told her that since the GOP was formed in 1860 and Lincoln was their first, and God was same yesterday, today and tomorrow, why did it take him so long? I told her that as a dedicated Christian and a DEMOCRAT I would appreciate her taking my name off their list because each time she spoke it began with 'can we depend on your financial support.....' But, but, but she sputters, and I tell her, can I get the spelling of your name so I can put it on the donor form for the money I will donate in your name to the elect Hillary campaign (for some reason both organizations HATE her).....and then I hung up. Let her sweat it out whether I did or not!

I never was asked to. If a candidates name isn;t asked about, it could be a push poll, paid by other candidate or candidates

no -but today there is a niche for a polling company to do door to door business to bussiness(places of employment) polling where the results would be 10 times more accurate -because he could hand a questionaire a pen and a person could just fill out the form without any bias or intonations from the polling company - why nobody is doing this is 1 nobody has thought of it -2 they dont want accurate results .
