Impeachment is a tool to stop Kingly activities and reverence.

If we are required by law to respect the C&C then why is Impeachment in the Constitution.

remember where they came from...they did not want blind faith for the presidency any more than they wanted it in Europe...impeachment, or the possibility of such, was meant to be a safeguard. Respecting the office of the president and respecting the occupant are two different things.

No such thing as an all knowing, all powerful president or an all knowing wise voting public, so there needed to be a method of removal before harm to the country occurs.
