The robbery is a criminal matter, breaking your lease is a civil matter. District attorneys and the attorney general deal exclusively with criminal cases. You would need your own attorney to handle the civil case.
Read your lease, there may be language that allows you to vacate the property because of the robbery.

No attorney general is going to be bothered with such a lawsuit on your behalf. They have other issues with which to deal. You may or may not be able to break your lease because of a robbery. If the robbery occurred due to no fault (lack of security) on the part of the landlord, you will probably not be able to terminate the lease legally.

A robbery can happen anywhere...even in the best of neighborhoods..and is not a legal reason to break a lease.

I recommend that you talk to an attorney who specializes in real estate law where you live.
The laws on this vary from state to state, county to county and city to city.
Even though the language in your lease probably does not give you an easy way out of the lease, something like a robbery, especially if this is a high crime area and your landlord failed to disclose that to you could be a very large factor in determining whether you can break the lease with little or no negative consequences to you.

Not legally. Prosecutors are not supposed to become involved in civil matters. Your jurisdiction may have a legal aid group that can help you. If not, then you should see a private, real estate attorney.
