Just lie to them about something that happened to you... it will not only make their problems look like nothing but it might even make them feel better....
i.e:
Friend: man, I just had the worst day at work, and I found out I"m going to be laid off for a week!
You:I just got raped by four men....
(see, and then the friend is going to be forgetting about his/her problems, and probably be happy they didn't get raped... and since it might be an awkward moment, they'll just go home and leave you at peace, good plan...?)

Don't bother me with your problems! I don't care!

Lol jk jk.

Well, you didn't give enough details... Like what is this person doing to bother you? Like just complaining all the time? I'm not really sure how I can help because I don't know the whole situation... Sorryy.. You can e-mail me on here or even e-mail me on my advice website, with a little more detail on the prob ;]

Just say I have problems of my own and I have heard your problems for the past 6 months and you never do anything about so I just don't care. That is what I told my friend and we are still friends I just don't have to hear about that loser she is with!

Just tell them you have to run.

If the person was a really good friend surely you would try to help them? I know I would.

when you see them coming change the road.
or if they call you don't pick up if you have nothing to say.
or if you see them and they are talking about their problem i suggest you listen mostly and tell them it will be okay some day so they don't feel that you are mean or cruel.

other then that if you don't give a shiit about the person and you want them to disappear forever you can be mean or do whatever.

"I'm sorry for what you are going through but I'm awfully busy. Good luck with all that." then exuse yourself from the room, phonecall, etc.

"Oh darn I gotta go! Love to hear more but time is such a ticker." Or you can be truthful and go "Can we not and say we did?"
