i have a acer aspire 5570 laptop which i purchased late septemeber 2007
and recently evey time i turn it on it says the message
a disk read error occured...
now i tried starting all over again but it logs on freezes and turns off again...
does anyone know y this is happening
and better yet does anyone know how to fix this??

Given how new this machine is, stuff asking here.
CALL THE MANUFACTURER and get the help your warranty entitles you to !
Sounds like hard drive might be about to die totally . . .

probably your hard disk.. is this vista or xp?
maybe try reformating your computer? but back up everything first..
or maybe if the problem still occurs, purchase a new hard disk, but make sure the hard disk is for laptops

Maybe the hard drive is failing, I know it new but it can happen, try running chkdsk
In command prompt type "chkdsk" It may require a restart though.
