it is interesting what lakely said because some people can actually lose their ability to distinguish between reality and dreaming. Consciousness is mainly responsible from separating one from the other. i think dreaming would be a subconscious state, because it is really when you are conscious that you know you are not dreaming, but you dont really realize if youre dreaming or not when you are. since death would mean the end of all brain activity, i would also suggest that dreaming ends there...and what happens after brain death???

At times I forget what the dream was about, and at times it was so real that it stays in my mind for a while. I have no idea what will happen to my dream if I don't wake up! perhaps I will keep on dreaming assuming that I'm still alive.

What happens to 'reality' when we dream? Could 'reality' be a kind of dream too? How could we know what's real then? Dreams can be painful too, then we wake up and what a relief, but could we also wake up from this 'reality', and IF such thing is possible, into what 'reality' are we going to wake up? Yeah, very interesting Q. Thanks and...

Good luck!

We are dreaming in the waking state as well... so we are simply moving from one dream to another.... Enlightenment ends all the material dreams... but allows enjoyment of them without the fear of complete involvement.

Increasing the light to begin the waking process is explained in this resource...

Considering that most of us forget our dreams rapidly, it might do us well to keep a pen and notebook right at the bedsite...and write down whatever we can remember from each dream.

Whether or not this can help us in our conscious lives is yet to be seen, but it can't hurt to try and find out about our sub-conscious thoughts.

To your first, they are still there, archived; and accessible when suitable to circumstance.

To your last, much is then readily accessible if you so choose it. But bear in mind, 'forever' is a weft and warp, an umbrella that in itself denotes the 'forever' nature to all things -- say, forever will things be subject to change. Not prophecy, prospective, or anything 'regarding' any one thing will evidence accuracy and precision in perpetuity, for this shares no economy -- and life is nothing if not Economy or the improprieties thereof, but in either case this principle writ large.

A dream would not would desire to be an entire international to be experienced as an entire international. you only would desire to have comparable stimulations to what you have interior the real international. you do no longer want a lamp in front of you to work out a lamp. If the suitable development of photons hits your eyes, you will "see" a lamp, whether there is no longer one. The photons work together alongside with your eyes, and a sign is sent on your strategies consistent with what photons hit your eyes. you are able to probable see an entire imagined complicated "international" utilising way fewer photons than there would be debris interior the imagined international. it somewhat is easily what I think of desires are. i think of people who say that there is no tangible existance for desires are not completely magnificent or incorrect. the international does tangibly exist, besides the undeniable fact that it exists as a gaggle of neural impulses and stuff, no longer an easily, better international. this would recommend the persons you refer to on your desires are only factors of your guy or woman strategies. possibly, considering your strategies would not disappear once you awaken, the tangible stuff making up the persons on your desires shouldn't the two. i'd wager that as quickly as you awaken, that's the two written over like pc RAM and starts serving different purposes (like reading this), or it sticks around for somewhat. As for why that they had have personalities, i think of it somewhat is via the fact we expect them to have personalities. utilising my finished loss of a historic past in neurology, i can declare with genuinely no self assurance that the strategies probable borrows a number of its social-prediction-bits to administration the persons in desires. And as for exchange dimensions, helpful, why no longer. that's a danger. that's a uncertain danger besides as a rather cool danger, yet i do no longer think of it is the case.

they dissipate, and no longer exist.
if you go to sleep and never wake up then lets hope the dream is a good one and not a nightmare.

That's like asking where our ideas go when we move onto other ideas. A memory bank I guess - I'm no neurologist!
