Actually, you need a dentist. The toothache is most likely due to an apical abscess, and the appropriate treatment of an abscess is drainage of the purulence. Left untreated, the abscess could become life-threatening.

The usual treatment is drainage of the abscess, followed either by extraction of the tooth or a root canal and a crown on the tooth.

I'm not saying this will happen to you, and we all have scare stories, but I have one patient whose dental abscess was not treated, and after a couple of weeks, it had turned into a softball-sized mass in the left upper neck that actually destroyed some of the muscle tissue in her neck and was found to be starting to erode into a major blood vessel. She was in intensive care for three days and her total hospital course was five months (April to September) before her neck finally healed!

Whether you want to get this taken care of or not is up to you -- it's your tooth, your body, your health, and your life!

You probably have an abcessed tooth ,and that is nothing to play around with . In short there is infection in that swollen
jaw. You will need antibiotics and dental help for that. If not it will keep coming back ,and could make you very sick.
You should take an inflammation reducer and put an icepack on it until you get to the dentist .

#1 priority in your LIFE is your HEALTH. If you don't have your HEALTH, you got nothing. If you don't have money to go see a doctor, get a loan. People get loans for all kinds of dumb reasons and trust me if it's for your health, it's worth it.

For your information, there was this person with toothache, but he said he couldn't afford to go see a dentist. The fact is, he could afford to go see a dentist, but he would rather spend it on paying house Mortgage, Car loan and etc. The toothache was due to infections in his gum and that infection spread through his body and he became blind.

Do yourself a favor and spend the damn money. If you don't have, get a loan, borrow from friend.. whatever...

No! You have to got to the dentist ASAP. If left untreated you run the risk of more serious problems. The infection could spread throughout your body and you don't want that.
