At 72, I can't have both . . . .Oh, do you mean with the lights off or the lights on? I'll just get real . . . . The bright flame is slowly dieing, the lights are turned down low, but there are some very nice glowing embers. Let it snow. Let it snow. Let it snow.
While reading this to my hubby, we had some good laughs and I got teased . . . .about what? Don't want a violation from the answers police.
I have shared this poem often on answers but, for me it fits the question rather well.
My Mirror and I
I looked in the mirror to see myself
But I was no longer there.
Instead I saw an old woman
Who had wrinkles and snow-white hair.
I thought to myself: How strange indeed.
Just who could this old woman be?
She resembles our family, I must confess.
But surely it can’t be me.
Only yesterday my eyes were bright
A wrinkle you could not see.
But I looked at this woman with wrinkled skin.
Now what has she done with me?
If I move my head, she moves hers.
When I smile, She grins with glee.
From the way she looks, I think she knows
Of the thought that bothers me.
Just keep grinning, you old woman.
I’ll turn from your image away.
With head held high, I’ll say to myself,
It’s good to feel young today.
Mirrors are a shallow lot.
They never look down inside.
But it’s down underneath the surface
That the spirit of youth abides.
Sometimes a mirror will flatter you,
Sometimes it will cause you to flee.
But since I know so much more than it,
My mirror can never fool me.

I am told that I am pretty and have a nice bod and look younger than my actual years. I, like (wandering), consider myself sexy and extremely humble. I don't think you have to be a young woman to be sexy. It's all in the way a person feels and how they carry themselves. I always wear perfume and keep myself presentable no matter if I'm going out or not. I'm rarely without lipstick and mascara with nails fixed. No! I'm not insecure....just like the way I feel when I do. ( I'm 65) and wear very light make-up. Don't you hate to see older ladies with painted on black eyebrows and lip liner with bright red lipstick making their lips look like guppies? Don't get me wrong, I have my days though. Yesterday I was in my PJ's until afternoon just because I could. I can't imagine any of you anything but beautiful. You know you are.

i'm a Scorpio with Virgo starting to be & Scorpio's are attractive & Virgo's look harmless & that's what human beings think of of me. My physique shape makes me attractive I even have each thing interior the suitable places & I actually have a attractive character reason i'm a smart yet no longer very eduated. I even have carried out nicely in existence because of the fact i'm intuitive. My avatar has short chopped hair yet my genuine hair in long & finished.

Are we still into the looks thing. That is so 20 year old thinking. I do not look at people for what is on the outside, it's what is on the inside that counts. I never was one to go on what someone looks like. That's all I'm saying on this subject.

I am described more as sensual rather than sexy...lol...can still turn a head or two from time to time WHEN I make an effort to do so, which I rarely do anymore! :-)
On the whole? Not bad for 65! - good genes - my mom at 88 does not look it and is slim, trim and cute!

Well I have days where I can look in the mirror and say " I look darn good for 49!" Other days when I feel headachey, no make up on, hair standing on end.. I look in the mirror and and say " You have got to be the ugliest woman on earth!"
On average though I do not see myself as anything special, I have my own ripples, scars and gray hairs. But I don't compare myself to younger women, they don't have the maturity and wisdom I have - so there! Pthhhht! lol.

Let's not compare ourselves to the 25 yr olds, c'mon, every body's pretty or handsome at that age. In 40 or 50 yrs they'll be, well, maturely attractive just like us.
If competing in my age rank (against those who haven't gone under the knife) I think I'd be in the top 10% but maybe I just FEEL better about myself now!
If you disagree please don't tell me differently!

I've had to employ a rather extensive staff to take care of my personal body guard duties -- if that's a clue.
