The "natural" way to get rid of a terrible toothache is to wait until the tooth either falls out , rots away or just stops hurting. That can be dangerous though, as the pain is often caused by an infection. Tooth infections can get worse and become blood system infections which can cause MAJOR heart and other organ problems.
I assume that you want a "natural"cure because you don't want to have to go to the dentist for some reason. People no longer live in the "natural" state like the people of thousands of years ago did. We have modern things like dentists to help us live more comfortably and healthier. For your own good you should have this checked out by a health professional.

I have found a couple of different methods for relieving tooth pain, but not getting totally rid of it. First, a lot of people here have mentioned clove oil, it does help, but tastes like crap. You can get it at any drug store. As far as "Natural" that's it. What I usually do is, smash up an aspirin, maybe even 2, then I add a little water to make it a paste. Then I apply the paste directly to the tooth. Yeah, it tastes pretty bad, but the pain goes down in a short amount of time.

I had a bad toothache a while ago.
Somebody told me "put a piece of clove on it." I did that and within a half hour the pain was far worse!
Two hours later I was getting a root canal surgery! I can't say I recommend clove - didn't work for me!

Clove oil has a numbing effect.
If you dont have the oil just put a clove on it.
At some point you may need an anti-biotic.
My uncle is a doctor and says that an infected tooth is dangerous as the infection can travel into your brain and kill you.
So much as you dont want to see a dentist you may have no choice.

Clove is the best natural medicine for the toothache.

Just put a clove or two under the aching tooth. You will feel very good after a while.

Clove is a great anti-bacterial, antiseptic and natural food.

Try 800mg of ibuprofen. A lot of dentists prescribe this. I've used it for root canal pain and it worked great. There are also some toothache powders and remedies you can buy OTC at a drug store.

If you can't get to a dentist immediately you can try Oil of Cloves and put it on the tooth & surrounding area in the meantime. Available in drug stores. The pharmacist may be able to recommend an over the counter pain reliever as well.

I am a dental hygienist. To be honest with you, there are no natural ways of getting rid of a toothache that I know of. If you have a tooth that is hurting you definately need to see a dentist due to the fact that it will absolutely not stop until it is attended. Could be several things. Some of which only a dentist can "fix". Such as .. a fractured tooth, abscess, decay or root exposure.

Until you can go to the dentist, apply oil of cloves to the cavity.

And apply warm compresses to your face.

But, seriously, you need to get to a dentist to have it looked at. Any dental school has an emergency clinic.
