What Barkley is saying is that LeBron can't be considered the greatest player in the NBA or the greatest player on his team because by signing to the Heat, he automatically removes himself from being the best on his team. The main reason is because it is not his team anymore, it's Wades team. Also, Wade already has a championship, so let's just hypothetically say that the Heat wins the next 6 championships. That would mean LeBron will have 6 rings, Wade will have 7. No matter what happens, Wade will always have more championships than LeBron. Wade also stayed with the team that drafted him and won a championship there, so that makes LeBron look lesser of a player in terms of greatness, because throughout the history of the NBA, great players never went to play with other great players at the age of 25. They did it at the end of their careers just so they can win a championship and have it on their resume. Nobody had a problem with them leaving because they were not young enough to be the man on their team anymore. Barkley is not alone, most people believe that, including myself. I think Lebron just relinquished his legacy as being the greatest because great players do not leave their teams to go play with another great player. Great players recruit players to their team. Wade did what he was supposed to do, so he will be more respected than LeBron as a leader when it's all said and done. Just watch.
