The NFL ball is Premium cowhide. I think Wilson has the exclusive contract.
Pigskin is old school. Not tough enough to be kicked many times.

i dont know what is it made of but i am 100% sure that is is not made of pig's skin. i am so sure because i live in sialkot( Sialkot is providing the footballs to all over the world )

a real one is made out of pigskin. a kncock off is made out of plastic, like the ones you buy at wal-mart for $2.00

some are made of plastic - some are a mix of skin and plastic - but the official ones are still skin
