This is my resolution:
Be it resolved that torture should be used by the federal government under certain circumstances.
I still need some ideas for my speech.... I am arguing FOR it to be allowed under some circumstances

When the needs of the many out weigh the needs of a few, then I unfortunately believe, if there is no other choice, then torture should be used.
The Geneva convention, like the human rights act, is a product of another era and not compatible with the way we live now - nothing is set in stone and we have to adapt to survive. Justice and fairness are a fantasy, as is the concept of live and let live for our suicide bombing bretheren.

it is immoral, prohibited under the Geneva Convention, and damages the reputation of the country
