The Christmas Concerts in the Infant School.

I went to my kids'and now their kids' concerts and still, after all these years, when the little ones sing ''we 'wi shoe' a merry Christmas'' and ALL of them still say 'BeFFlihem' !
One of the nicest was 2 years ago when the audience were all wished 'Nadolig Llawen' and a few other little Welsh bits by the ONE Chinese boy who had the biggest cheer -and of course, he's not a Christian -not a dry eye in the house !

There are a few: My Sweet Lady (John Denver) because that song was playing when my first ever pet was dying--that line that goes "I wish that you could know how much I love you" was what I was feeling about that little guy. Also that song from Les Miserable that goes "God on high, hear my prayer, in my time of need, you've always been there..."--the singer has such a sweet voice plus it applies (for me at least) to all those soldiers fighting bravely facing some of the worst horrors they will ever know, "bring [them] home, bring [them] home." Scarlet Ribbons by Harry Belafonte because mom used to sing that to us as a lullabye and it speaks to miracles. There are a few more I can't conjure up right now. And, shoot, now you've got me all teary!

I was watching the news and they showed several military dads and moms returning from Iraq and surprising their kids in the classroom. One dad surprised his daughter during her high school basketball game. Not only did I get a lump in my throat but also quite a few tears in my eyes.
