how do you do all of those fancy symbols by your name?

I know the ♥ one but how do I do the crosses and hearts and swirls???

When I press Alt and a number absolutely nothing happens...

Greek Alphabet: 224 - 238 α - ε

Math Symbols: 240 - 253 ≡ - ²

(You'll have to fool around with the last two for the whole gammut)

There's way more combinations too, and not all work in all applications.

For MS Word look at the top of the document. You will see
File, Edit, View, Insert, Format, etc. Click on "Insert" and on the drop-down list, click on "Symbol." A symbol box will pop up. Click on the symbol you want to insert into your text, then click on the insert button and close the box.

Search your programs on your computer for character map and then choose the font you like. You will see the symbols you want and you can make a name using them. Copy your name after you made it and then paste it where you create your nickname.That's how I do it. Hope this helps!
