1997 Taurus windshield wiper pump will not work. I removed the washer pump and resivoir then connected directly to battery and it worked as it should. I even blew the lines out with air compressor and they are clear. Fuses under dash are ok. Possibly the pump is going bad?

I like what you did to troubleshoot. I would start at the fuse with a multimeter and work my way towards the switch, and then to the pump hookup looking for voltage. Eventually the voltage won't be there and that is where you problem is going to be. More likely than not it will be a switch or a connector that has corroded or broken. Get a 6 pack and free up an afternoon, but it shouldn't be too difficult. Also, replace the fuse...sometimes they can be blown but not look like it. Cheap insurance to make sure you don't waste your time.

Possibly you have a bad ground check your wiring to and from the pump. remove and clean the ground.
Then drink heavily the rest of the 23.5 hours you have left in the day. LOL
