will my door release mechanism on my washer trip out my electric??

every time i turn the washer on it trips out my electrics at the circuit mains or rcd. i recently had a door release mechanism put on by a friend and now am wondering if this is why its tripping the electric. 1/100 times it works the other 99/100 it trips ty in advance...

Sounds to me like a bad breaker. Or the wrong size amp on the breaker.
However if it is wired incorrectly it would blow the breaker but it would happen all the time not just on occassion.
