No, I have prescription insurance and pay $1.00 for 3 of them and $3.00 for another. WalMart also has $4.00 prescriptions, Publix Supermarkets in the south USA offer free prescriptions and many pharmaceutical companies offer free meds through their company. If anyone needs additonal information, I will be happy to help them, pleaes email me.

Thankfully, we have found a prescription plan that will allow us to purchase our medications in bulk... LOL We had to get all our prescriptions written for 3 months at a time with at least 3 refills. We pay $35. for name brands or $10 for a generic equivalent, and this is for a three month supply! In case anyone wants to know this is part of blue cross and blue shield. You have an option of getting them by the month but that is stupid as it's the same price regardless of.
My heart goes out to the folks who feel they have to do this. I would not want anyone doing something like this for me at any time!

Luckily, that is one of the very few costs each month, I don't
have to worry about as a vet and being low income. I know
all vets can apply for free medical care as I did. And now with
rising costs at the pharmacy, it pays to see if you qualify. All
of my life since the service, I never knew I could take advan-
tage of this program. I thought I had to have a medical problem related to my service connection. And that wasn't
the case at all. My dad never took advantage either, until
he was about 60 and had taken an early retirement with the
same health problems I've developed. He liked the care he
had,and felt comfortable with the VA hospital and clinic. I
hope the seniors who qualify for care having been in the
service are on this program. As it will save them money
and for most of us, I'd think that is in very short supply.

I would never cut back on prescriptions for anything unless it was to eat. Hubby's pills keep him alive, literally, and I'm a diabetic and have high blood pressure and mine keep me alive, I told the kids and grandkids this yr that we just could not afford anything the way it has been and they were fine with it,its not the gifts its the family, and I would never waste electricity with lights going outside when I have a hard time paying the electric bill without added usage.

I don't know if this counts, but I have a screwed up back and am in pain every day, but I am waiting until January to go to the chiropractor because of the costs of presents and such. = /

Not me, I don't have to. I take three meds. I pay $ 3.00 for one & for the other two, I pay $ 1.00, so I don't have to do any cutting, unless it's cutting the wrapping paper to size, for my gifts.
