Hi Rosebud, yes but it seems to be the way of things now with everyone shouting at you and not many good manners are displayed. I also have noticed when the adverts come on the volume increases to about a thousand decibels! It certainly doesn't make me want to buy anything just reach for the mute button on the remote! :)

I agree. The BBC actually listened to their viewers and provided an option to switch off the music for the last programme 'Nature of Britain' with Alan Titchmarsh, simply by viewing on digital and pressing red. The programme was much improved! I hope that other programmes will keep that facility of even be made without the muzzak

Yep, I totally agree. American films are even worse as they have to have accompanying music to suit every mood - happy scene = happy music, happy scene tinged with sadness = happy music tinged with sadness, just in case the audience needs help understanding I guess. And I find actors mumble, I have to turn the tv up real load then grab the remote again when the adverts come on.

Yes, it's very annoying. And it's even worse with the surround sound on.!!
And the other annoying thing is, the volume always seems to shoot up when the adverts come on don't it? :0)

No.
Don't think so.
Everyone think differently at the situation out there.
Depend on what communication system were they using.
If your power of concentration and focussing is sharp and good.
Any noises around will not distract on what we were doing.
