and my car won't drive away from a stop sign. It goes in reverse but won't drive. So, I get a ride to the coffee shop where I am now and I have to weigh my options. Do I?
a) Have the car towed to my house in hopes someone can fix it?
b) Have it towed to the auto repair shop where they will charge me an arm and a leg to fix (which I don't have.
c) Ask Santa to fix it for me in his spare time
d) curl up into a ball and pray it all goes away?

Dear Sister Buk, do you have AAA or towing on your insurance? If so, have it towed to your house, and have a friend check it out for you. You have nothing to lose if it's something simple. But if it's more serious, you can weigh your options. You could get an estimate. Many garages will give you a free estimate. Maybe the vehicle isn't worth putting a lot of money into. Good luck.

It probably just needs some sausage! Put some sausage in a blender until it liquefies then pour it into your gas tank!! If that doesn't do it then have it towed to your house & pray that someone can fix it! Always use the repair shop as a last resort!! Hope you have a better day!! (((hugs)))

I'd go with (a) Sr. Buk. If the car's at your house, when Buk and all the good old boys come by, they can try to fix it. Hope it gets fixed today...being without a car sux (I know...I was for quite a while).

sister check the transmission fluid level before you do anything else

http://www.ehow.com/how_112890_check-add-fluid.html

if that does not solve the problem you are going to have to have someone look at it, if you are paying for a tow then ask yourself do you really know someone who is going to look at your car and help, or are you doing wishful thinking and if you are going to pay for a tow, tow it to a shop and have it get looked at by someone who is going to help. Its a drag and I am sorry that happened. I am sending you good car karma through the air waves and I hope it is a simple fix

I'd go with choice "c" -- seems like the most unlikely choice, huh? But, you might just be able to pull it off!
Get Buk to put his pants on for just long enough to drive you down to the used car lot! Those guys down there are so broke and HUNGRY that they would almost give you a car this time of year!!!!

If you're serious, have someone check the transmission fluid if you don't know how. That sounds like a symptom of of low transmission fluid, and may save you some big buks.

Drive it in reverse to Buk's place and get him to fix the transmission.
