I use "mice" as the plural of "mouse" whether the item in question is a rodent or a computer peripheral. I have never heard "mouses", except as a verb, i.e. He mouses his controller over the icon rather than using the hotkey., and that only VERY rarely - "clicks" is the preferred verb.

Both mouses and mice are acceptable when talking about computer equipment.

It's also mice. I know because I have had several mice. Of all the mice I have had, and that includes mechanical mice, optical mice and laser mice, I think that laser mice are by far the nicest mice.
