Oka i am 13 yrs old...and have had my period ever since last summer since i was 12. This year has been so awkward for me and some of last yr. My period is just t heavy! tooo heavy!

i would wear a super tampon and ill bleed through in a matter of 60 minutes! .... when i am at schooool i keeep having minor accidents.... luckily no one knows about them but i keep having to go home early cuz of this. and my period has bee lasting number of weeks. mY DOCTOR SAYS .... or w.e. it is perfectly normal for a girl our age to ovulate more than 1 time a month. And she put me on these pills ... but the are not working. And she says if they dont work i should try these BC Pills. ... well i just want your opinion .... should i go on these Birth COntorl pills and are the safe for me.... yes i know my doctor prescribed them but i just want a second opinion .. so dont say something like omg ur so stupid jsut go on the pilll. but i have read up on the pill.... the side effects are weird..plz help!

i meant to say i was 14... sorry my bday was like jsut a few days ago. so its been like 1 and half now. hahaha.

Your hormones dictate your cycle, it's not affected by what you eat. Your cycle can also be affected by stress, illness, medication or BC pills. It wouldn't hurt to go on BC pills for a short time, it takes a while to regulate your menstrual cycle & then you can stop taking them. I would talk your female relatives (mom, sister or aunt) & see what helped them & if, they had similar experiences.

I know how you feel, a number of my friends are on the pill because of that reason or (were on the pill) if you can drink a lot of water during your period it will not make the period lighter but it would make it ends faster, and you may try to exercise a little bit more before your period begins and DURING I say this out of personal experience I did that and my period ended a lot earlier and were a lot lighter than it would have been, so maybe you would like to try that, I'm not much of a pill person since all pills have side affects....

i have the same problem and i am 15 i have my peroid more than one time a month too. my doctor toldme to go on birth control pills but i didn't i would advice u not to.
