No. I believe that not all of us just decides to conform and 'go with the flow'. Maybe the people who dare to be different are those that be themselves, stand for what they believe in while others follow the lead. If you're talking about goths or emos and stuffs, they're not different. Look at the millions of self-labelled goths and emos around. They're not different cause they're practically in groups now. I believe that we all have a choice on who we wanna be, and we shouldn't let other people, or society, shape us in the way that we're all the same. originality people!

No. Some may be attention whores. Others just have different styles or a different way of looking at things. I look and act a bit different than what the norm is in this society, but I am merely being myself. I hate the stares. I hate the comments I get. But at the same time, you have to be yourself. I would despise myself if I put an act on all the time.

No, there are many different reasons.
Some obviously like to attract attention, some want to upset or shock but most others like me just want to be ourselves. We don't feel the need to be seen as a member of the group! We don't do things because that's what 'everyone' does and it isn't that we 'dare' it's that we don't 'care' what others think!
It's always been the same, Beatnik, Hippy, Biker, Punk Rocker and now Goth! most just simply like being what they are!

Sometimes, but not always. Everybody is different in some way - in fact I'd say that nobody would score a perfect average on some sort of "how normal are you" test.
If you're talking about having tatoos and dyed hair etc in order to stand out then yes some people do that for attention/to shock people; but equally others do it because they like the style rather than because they want people to stare.

Yes.
Though I would hasten to add that to some extent everybody does that; these "gothic" types simply adopt a different strategy to get the job done.
In the end it's just another fashion statement.
I get the feeling Goths prefer to look daft than sexy in a world where sexy often looks daft anyway...

Not all. You can be different without doing it in a way that draws any attention. People are individuals, and it's stupid to paint all people in a group as the same.

I think people who try to be different and stand out from society norms probably realise they will get more attention even if they don't want it. I guess if they didn't want any attention they would be more likely to merge into the crowd.

I examine this greater as i could settle to determine a short tale, because of the size - that is unquestionably a poem tho'. Your rhymes are part of the rhythm (Yay!) that propel one alongside. properly well worth the examining, richly textured, appealing ingredient (i like the bottles), thoroughly readable - I only rolled good by. The longer I examine the greater i needed. solid ethical.

some people are attention seekers, while others just don't care what other people think of them. it could go either way depending on the person.

Yes, alot of the time that is true. Others just have a drive in them to be different, and to excel at everything they do. There's nothing wrong with that!
