It can change the way it reacts with Stokes Law, by changing the charge and solubility of the particles. The particles will then drop out of solution at different rates if the protein structure is altered.

I see that someone has answered the question for you already. Okay, time to write the answer on my lab manual. Hehe. Good luck with the rest of the manual. The questions are really difficult!
