You didn't ask a dumb question, but you did get quite a few dumb answers.

It is force 100-N because air resistance increases with greater speed or greater surface area. Air resistance from having a great surface area is probably not a very large factor because the metal that makes up nails is a very dense material, so when it gets to the greatest speed[terminal velocity], (Terminal is your 'clue' word), then it is traveling at a constant speed. And the law of inertia will say if there is no force, then you have a constant velocity. Gravity force, and terminal velocity are both constants, so filling in short:

At terminal velocity -
Air resistance(newtons) = force of gravity (newtons)
