Sincerely used to be "Yours Sincerely" - it's a personal thing and also a promise of sincerity - ie, it's a personal promise of truthfulness. Best Regards means you regard the berson well or think well of them. It's a sign of respect for the person. Best Wishes means you wish them all the best. Out of the three, Best Wishes is the least personal but also it depends on which way it's used. Best wishes is usually used in cards for weddings, birthdays even letters to a person that aren't business like. All three however can be adapted to suit needs: ie: * Fondest Regards, Regards to your family * Best wishes for a happy and prosperous year, Best wishes for the upcoming exams * Yours Sincerely, Sincerely, Most Sincerely.
