Big John Studd and Bobby Heenan had been feuding with Andre the Giant for almost a few months, even enlisting the help of Ken Patera. Patera and Studd even attacked Andre after a match and cut his long hair, in an attempt to humiliate him.
Studd was doing a challenge series at house shows and syndicated programming, where he'd offer a wrestler a large sum of money if they could body slam him. Studd used this to his advantage, and challenged Andre to a $15,000 body slam match, in which is Studd bodyslammed Andre first, Andre would be forced to retire.

I believe it was Andre-in a match withBIg John Studd if I am not mistaken. After winning the match and the money he threw it by handfuls to the fans. And Bobby Heenan had one of his famous Heenan fits.
