Everything that should be done has been done; everything that needed to be bought has been bought. Though such presents as I give out are only ever tokens because I really don't like Christmas one little bit and prefer to opt out of the gross commercialism of it all.
I make a much bigger deal of the birthdays and anniverssaries (sp) of the people I care about because they are much more personal times. Those are *their* days, unlike Christmas which counts for nothing in the greater scheme of things. And I like to get people presents and things any old day of the year - if I'm out and about and come across something I think somebody would really like it's theirs. No Christmas wrapping, no frills, no book-keeping or accounts or mental checks and balance; just a spontaneous and (hopefully) pleasant surprise, just because.
