Can you ride pets on gw....plus any other info on pets in gw wud b great.

No, guild wars does not have mounts. Rangers can have pets though. There are alot of pets that you can tame throughout the game ranging from lions and tigers and bears (oh my!) to polar bears, moa birds, eagles, cranes and spiders.
The pet fights along side your character. Rangers are the only profession though that can tame a pet. (Ranger primary or secondary profession)

No you cannot, pets are collectors items. You get one every eyar, on your birthday, or you can buy one from someone else. The most expensive one right now is a Mini gwen, if you play the first campaign then you know who Gwen is, she appears later on in other campaigns as a hero.
