It is good idea. We use to get free personal pizzas from Pizza Hut for reading.

It is ok for kids to eat at McDonalds every once in a while.

Well McDonalds isn't very special or very healthy. Most parents here paid their kids, like 5 dollars for every A 1 dollar for every B...Cs dont count because they are average. I think if you are taking them to McDonalds to one of the bigger ones that has the nice playstations that would be okay, but if its just to eat a cheeseburger and some fries thats not very rewarding. That would also have to be for kids that are younger like under 10. After that when they get to be a teenager its better to either pay them, let them pick a nice place to eat, or reward them with an activity like bowling with a bunch of friends, etc

yes as a reward.... when I was in school we used to get a burrito from a local place,, for every A and if you got all A's you got a free soda

Depending on the age, is how you take this.... my oldest does not like McDonalds, so that would not work for her she likes money,, however my youngest would love it

If McD's is giving them a free meal,, they are counting on you buying one for the other one who did not earn the good grades.. So I suggest make it a special treat to take the child to McD's and leave the other one at home,,, because they did not earn it. Now if the other child just did't quite make it,,, then you at least give them some kind of reward, but not the same,, for doing good.. give them a dollar, but dont take them to McD's with the other child... this will help them to improve their grades to make that goal

better than a kick in the butt, but I think kids get rewarded too much these days, what is going to happen when these kids get into the work force, are they going to need to be rewarded daily for doing what is supposed to be their job,, they are finding out the hard way that kids getting into the work force, need naps, cant be yelled at, are pretty much worthless because they got rewarded even when they sucked at sports or spelling or grammar,, they are going to be heavily medicated with anti-depression pills, and brain cancer from having a cell phone attacted to their heads 24/7,, text messages etc.

If I decyphered this question correctly, I think that is a great idea. However, I would pick something healthier like a free Subway meal. I wouldn't want my kids rewarded with a heart attack or obesity.

Not much of a reward.

"Great job getting straight A's, junior! Your reward is a tray full of fried crud!"
