I used one today and I was scared that the mouse was about to get off it and run off. And to the people who say that you should let the mouse go, what makes you think its not going to come back into your house? Or someone else's house for that matter?

Glue Traps

It is possible for the mouse to sometimes get off a glue trap. A lot of people say it is the humane thing to set it free. But do with it as you wish. At this time of year it's getting cold and all animals are looking for a warm place to go. Homes are usually the easiest for them to get into. Would he come back probably would he go soemwher else maybe? Again it's up to you what to do with him. My rule of thumb was if it invaded our house I killed it no matter what it was. If it's outside I let it go.

Not all glue traps are created equal. I tried some cheap ones from the Dollar Store and actually watched a mouse walk off it. Got some name brand ones and have had no problem.

I have had several mice excape from glue traps in the house and outside. What makes you think they will survive once they have all that sticky on them? They probably lick it off anyway, is that safe for them? Use an old fashion mouse trap or a cat.

yes the can if they don't get completely stuck to it. In addition glue traps come in different sizes so the mouse may be too big for the trap your using. Mice and rats have poor eyesight so they run along the walls. Make sure your trap is up against the wall and it should be effective.

Yes, they can. It happened last night. Yesterday, I baited a Tomcat brand glue trap with chocolate flavored peanut butter, placed it behind a large board next to my apartment door and the next morning the trap was pushed out from behind the board. The edge of the trap was very well chewed and the glue showed evidence of a great struggle, plenty of fur, but no mouse.

O.... yeah, it can do it. Believe it or not, mouses learn with time if this a trap or not!!! I think that the glue trap is not useful today. So, you have to find new way to catch or kill them, or you should go to the traditional way, that is, to get a hunting cat -not a pet-.

Glue trap did work for me but for small mouse only. I tried rat poison from grocery store it didn't work. I saw mouse running around bravely. on a hunch i crushed the poison cube to powder under my shoe and spread it around their hangout spots. It did work this time. How___ they licked there feet and tail to clean the powder which they were not biting before.

Mouse can do incredible things, think of how long they have been around with people trying to kill them. Thats why you usually have to put poison in the trap. Good luck, Mr. Mouse hunter.
