circular shapes has problem in counting their edges assome consider circle as have enumerable sides
but oher than this idea we can consider cone have 1 edge, cylnder 2 edges

In each case, the only edges are the circles -- one in the case of the cone, two in the case of the cylinder.

That's unless your teacher is using a definition of "edge" that involves vertices. If so, then maybe s/he thinks neither has any edges.
