If the child is dead in the water, sparing the water would do it no good having spoiled it already.

If I got upset about the spoiled 'child', the last deserves punishment in order to learn what is right; so if I try hard/spare the bathwater/valuable ideas in attempting to get rid of what I don't wish, yes, I'M SPOILING THE CHILD IF I SPARE THE BATHWATER.

That would be nice if the bathwater would wash all the bad stuff they learn in school nowdays.
Just don't throw them out with the bathwater.
I don't think you can spoil a child whether you bathe them or not.
They will get kind of rank smelling if they are spared a bath, though.
