I am afraid, you are rather going by your likes and dislikes and not serious about the importance of each player in the team. Sachin is no doubt old now, but he is not yet finished totally. In India, there is a proverb. An old patient is better than a new doctor to prescribe a medicine. Thus, instead of trying a new player against the mighty Aussies, you can rely upon the experience of Sachin for the time being. Once they come back victoriously, the options of trying those waiting on the wings can be exercised.
Dhoni is too big and too talented a player to be dropped all of a sudden, in the manner you suggest.
R.P. Singh and Zaheer are normally susceptible to frequent injuries. Otherwise, they are better bowlers. They can join the time if they are fit and can be relegated to the reserves, if during the course of the series, they again get injured. On their day, they can do wonders. If they are seriously injured, replacements can always be called for.
Gautam Gambhir is a good player, no doubt. But, he is yet to establish himself as indispensable. He has not so far done that. Yuvraj no doubt deserves his place in the tests too, if his present form is anything to go by. The new players like Ishant Sharma et al deserve a try, but one at a time in the entire group of the tested players.

Yuvaraj has proved beyond doubt that his inclusion in the Test Squad in the 3rd one against Pakistan has resulted into great dividend for India.The other day , he was considered by the Selectors as ODI player and not a player for Test matches.In his first appearance , in a crucial situation , he and Saurav did great recovery of the Team India.
Nobody can say that he is just a ODI player anymore.He showed all techniques to prove his worth.Indian Selectors have been ignoring his ability for Test Matches for a long time.I believe they are doing similar injustice to some more young talents just to keep the position/slot of the OLD Players of yester-years.
