If you go to a store such as dollar tree you could get some very nice bows most are usually velvet, and then look at sale ads and find a place with decorations on sale, pick up some silver bulbs and usually red bows this is a very elegant look for a very inexpensive price. Have fun remember that's what its about anyway spending time family and friends.

I'm about to go out and purchase a large plastic container for my 5 foot artificial tree as the original box has finally worn out. It is important to consider not only the length of the pole(s) but also the circumference of the packed tree. Do your branches hinge or do they hook on? If hinged, you'd want to be sure the closed branches would fit, and remember they make the packed tree taller than the actual pole.

Look up Free cycle in Yahoo groups for your area. A wonderful site where people give and ask for items. I give things away all the time on that site in my area and have occasionally received. The best thing is that these things get recycled rather than just filling up our dump sites. There is bound to be some one out there that bought new ornaments and is planning to just throw out last years.
PS- 7 foot tree ! Sweat

I buy most of my ornaments from the dollar store. They have some nice looking ones. I usually buy a box of 12 plain white ornaments each year and I hand paint them. It's alot of fun and they turn out wonderful. I even let my neighbor kids help.
You could also try Target, but you have to look hard for a good deal. Last year I got a big tub of 80+ ornaments for $8.99 which was a great deal!

There are alot of people who have christmas items, not using you might put out an ad...Leow's and walmart have large containers of one color of balls from small to large. Filling in with bows would be cheaper. You can also fill spaces with bunches of dried flowers, usually find in crafts or wal-mart flower section...It looks really pretty in green and reds. They usually come wrapped in cellophane like.If your gonna have a tree that big, expect to pay alot for decorations.
You can also buy at the end of the season, for sales for next yr.
Good luck!

I hope you have a couple of good dollar stores where you live and nothing beats home crafted. Have a tree decorating party and ask everyone to bring an ornament; either crafted or store bought. Have an ornament crafting party with cookies and punch. Be creative!

i got a big tree this year too and didnt have quite enough deco's for it since my other tree was a foot smaller and not as full...anyways i went to walmart and got boxes of balls..there was like 12 for $2.00...dollar tree and stores like that really do have cute decorations if you shop early enough and of course their cheap. i also put bows on mine...tinsle, although very messy, can add very inexpensive charm to a tree also

You could try to make them, like paper snowflakes. You could also try local Craft Fairs, some of them sell decorations at reasonable prices, or they have a "white elephant table", where you might find used ones, that are still pretty.
