Whats the difference and which are the best?

I always have acrylic because they last a lot longer. I've had gel before and they lasted a grand total of 3 hours.

Gel nails definately, they have a far more natural look. For a very natural look have clear gel painted onto your own nails and grow to desired length.
Good nail technicians dont need to use electric drills to prepare the nail, this causes the natural nail to become weak by losing layers of nail.
Also remember part of the problem is how you take the gel or acrylic off, never pick at it. Ask nail professional to gently file or soak off, and then moisturise regularly after the removal with olive oil.

If you do a lot of heavy work such as stock, I would suggest acrylic nails. Acrylic is more durable for heavier or more demanding jobs/activities. But gel nails are better for your nail bed. Gel nails also look more natural and cost more than acrylic. Good luck!

Not sure about gel,i always have acrylic,they are pretty strong and grow off as your nails grow so you have to have the bottom filled in about every 2 to 3 weeks.your nails still grow with them on but are so weak underneath that when the acrylics come of your nails will be very soft and just break off.

Acrylic i heart its better than gel it makes the nails grow
and it last longer

acryllic is thinner then gel, they use different stuff for each of them.
i have gel nails and they're a lot tougher and thicker!

Both will do serious damage to your real nails - better off getting some Sally Hansen Maximum Growth or something similar and making your own nice!
BUT if I had to chose, gel!

Definitely gel. my mom normally gets them cause she can't seem to grow her nails and they really help. it gives your nails a chance to grow. but they both aren't that good for your nails. :)

i don't know the difference but i heard you should always go with acrylic, they work great for me.

false nails only look tackey when you've only got two .. i say go acrylics .. they help my nails grow
