The conquest of the great Aztec Empire by the Spanish Conquistadors, I just did this topic at school, it was very interesting. It is very open to debate, whether the Aztecs resisted the onslaught of the Spanish or whether the Spanish conquered the Aztecs for their wealth of gold. GOOD LUCK...

China always claimed its great civilisation developed with no contact whatsoever with the West--but in recent years caucasian mummies from approx 3000-4000 years ago have been found in China. So controversial they won't let western scientists study them properly.

I think you can find a lot of information in the Spanish Inquisition. Or one of my favorite subjects when I took world history in college was French history. You can get a lot of information on Godfrey of Bouillon or the Hundred Years War.
