If I can still tie my hair in a ponytail, I wouldn't kill the hairdresser just yet. After the bad haircut, I wouldn't visit them ever again. I might be like washing my hair every single day so it might grow longer quickly. I know it sounds ridiculous but one excuse for it.

Ppay for the haircut, don't tip the person who cut my hair. Go home and Shave my head
(and in all honesty?, that seriously happened to me and i actually had to shave my head completely bald)

Well last time I asked the barber to shave only half of my head and then his cellphone rang and when he picked it up he shaved all my head. And then I got up and grabbed his cellphone from him and called the cops. It was a good day.

i wear my hair up 5-6 days a week for work anyhow so unless she really really screwed it up i wouldnt worry about it and just let it grow out. i actually go to a hair academy to get my hair done and the students there do a better job then licensed professionals ive been to.

i usually put some nice accessories so that people will look at the nice accessories in my hair rather than my hair itself!you could wear a hat or something but you'd have to wear one everyday!
