Parent...they are far more tangible, easier to talk to and far easier to understand when they f*%k up............This is an easy question to answer for me because my parents either are or were gods witha small G..........my father is deceased but my dear old mum is going strong and entering her 70s........these two people created me in their own image and did such a marvelous job that i am here today to tell you that God with the big G is one i have millions of questions for IF and When we meet ! Not least of which will be WHY did you only do half a job down there and where the HELL have you been :-) (probably in hiding from all the mistakes made) Why create evil if your aim was heaven on earth ? Why make Lucifer in the first place,if your all knowing why didnt you see that coming. Why have your son nailed up,why all the wars over your personality or lack of.Which name do you prefer.ETC ETC. Good luck in life to all whatever your beliefs, but repect to your parents first in all things.

Your parents, no question. God is merely a thought or an ideal, there is no proof he actually exists and he plays no actual part in your life or decisions. Your parents are real, they are with every step in lifes journey, both physically and mentally. They have earned your respect a hundred times over, I'm not sure the same thing can be truthfully said about God.

Hello,

(ANS) I have respect for my own parents as they are living breathing human beings, were as God doesn't exist.

**How can you respect something that doesn't exist??

**God is nothing more than a human construct, meaning god was invented by humans for humans but doesn't exist. God is a collective myth, god is a delusion, a self deception, a fantasy, a fairy story humans tell each other for all sorts of weird & wonderful reasons.

**I don't believe in the concept of a god & I think religion causes far more suffering than it solves. Religion is the cause of the problem in many cases not the solution.

**But if humans didn't have religion we would only invent something else equally absurd or stupid. It would be called something else.

Ah, but God says Honor Your Father and Your Mother - at least the God I was taught as a child; it's one of the Ten Commandments. Me, I respect myself - and question any God or any Parent that would challenge my self-respect.

Hi.

I would most certainly respect God first and foremost.

Without God, I would have had no parents; I would not exist. No one & nothing would exist.

By respecting my parents more, I would be putting them before God, which would be blasphemous. No one can come before God.

Peace.

My parents , when they were alive , they were the ones who I could see and speak to every day and learn the values I have taken through my entire life
I do respect God , and have some belief , and many of my values are also related to my Christian upbringing , although unlike many right wing Christians I do not use bible reading to beat myself up with guilt as I am only human
