It seems that some old-school wwe fans arent watching anymore. Its just a cylce and i think its a newer crowd who is tuning in this time around.

Me for example i still watch pro-wrestling, but i have a couple of friends who were die-hard wrestling fans and they would buy WWE t-shirts, merchandize etc. But as time passed on, i guess they werent interested with the product anymore, and they stopped watching wrestling on a regular basis.

I also knew people who were the stereotypical mark fans. Those who get into character, etc. Well most of them arent fans anymore and some of them still tune in but not as they used to.

One of the Strongest legions of fans are those of the Attitude Era, and those from the 80's era.

Can this new generation of fans be strong enough to carry WWE's popularity into the future?

I am from the 80s generation, as i started watching Hulkamania when i was a kid and i think that era was the most powerful financially with WWE, and still support most of the ratings today.

KING!! How many of us old-school wrestling fans still watch wrestling on a regular basis?

Im sure we are walking out the window!(80s fans) and wwe is targeting the younger crowd. Atleast the 18 year olds.

Im 27 by the way, and im still in the prime from a consumers point of view. Since the best demographic is 18-36 age group.

I've been watching wrestling for about 16 years now. I still enjoy wrestling as much as I ever have, but I haven't been watching WWE. I think the storylines are boring, the wrestlers are un-inspiring, and WWE has turned too much into a marketplace. Glorification of the urban culture (John Cena) and too much emphasis on sex, and most importantly..... I don't find hardly anybody on the entire roster that entertaining. Chris Benoit & Kurt Angle used to be who I thought was carrying them as a wrestling company, but now Chris is dead and Angle is wrestling in TNA..... so who's left with a lot of skill now? Not too many.

For my wrestling fixes, I watch the stuff I grew up with, or even attitude era. My ECW DVDs are often utilized, and i'm a big fan of the wrestling going on in Japan. So WWE to me has lost all appeal, and I go anywhere else for my wrestling programming. I think wrestling fans will never die, but the kids when they get older will THEN realize how crappy of a wrestler Randy Orton is, just like I realized Ultimate Warrior wasn't really all that cool.

i am from the 80 i started watching wrestling in late 87 early 88 and i have been watching it every day ever since....i dont miss anything and if i do thats why i got a DVR....i think the most of the ratings support comes from the ages of 8-14 boys and girls....and there is still a huge majority of adults who still support the wwe but not like there use to be in the attitude era....wwe needs to catch the younger crowd in order to stay alive...if they just try to keep the older crowd there not going to have any new generations liking the wwe...every major industry has to change with times...thats what the wwe had to do...

I'm 28, and I've been disappointed for a while now. I still watch Raw. I hardly ever watch Smackdown. Their dramatic storylines are ridiculously stupid. I was a childhood Hulkamaniac. Now that I'm an adult I realized that Hulk Hogan is a bigger Hulkamaniac than I could ever be. I've lost some respect for him. The Attitude era was pretty good. But DX was the hot thing, and I wasn't really into DX. I liked Triple H and Michaels, but I despised the rest of them. It was like Edge said, "Hanging out with cool people doesn't make you cool."
