I agree with catxcatx totally, the yellows will be too aggresive for your community tank. There ARE some cichlids that would do ok though. I just chimed in to remind of the importance of thoroughly researching any fish combination PRIOR to doing it so you don't wind up with 'o( dead fish. It's more of a homework question for you, especially when you want to introduc cichlids to a community tank, you are limited on what will work. Here are a couple of sites for you that will help with compatibility: http://www.fishchannel.com/fishkidz/beginner-fish/seven-families-of-aquarium-fish.aspx , http://badmanstropicalfish.com/community.html , http://www.timstropicals.com/Compatibility/CompatibilitySearch.asp , http://www.timstropicals.com/Compatibility/CompatibilitySearch.asp

That should give you a bunch to go on. Just be careful when choosing!

Good luck!!! ;o)

The electric yellows(Labidochromis caeruleus) are one of the mbuna( rock dwelling) cichlids from Lake Malawi and require an enviorment with a lot of rock formations and caves so the males can form a well defined territory. Even though they are one of the least aggressive, they are still cichlids and can get rough when breeding.
They require very hard, alkaline water which would rule out any of the other fish you have listed(they need softer water with a neutral to slightly acidic water conditions).
Although a 29 gallon tank is on the the smallish side for the Malawian cichlids (I have kept a small colony successfully in a 30 gal long) I would suggest:
(3) Electric yellows
(2) smaller synodontis cats (contractus or nigriventris)

If you really want to have the yellow labs, you have to get rid of the neons as well as the cory's

you can put however
3 yellow labs (preferably 1 male/2 females
6 giant danios or 6 buenos aires tetras
2 bristlenose plecos
and you need lots of hiding places for your cichlids like rock formations

Hope that helps
Good luck

electric yellow cichlids don't go so well in general community tanks and should really be kept in african cichlid set ups only.

if you skipped them and went for the opaline/neons/corydoras you'd be fine though.

electiric yellows (id saty 3) would be ok, I think. unlike most malawis, their top priority is not to murder conspecifics. its nice, seing as they are so beautiful too.
