not much impresses me, but I do remember how impressed I was at my childrens piano recital a number of years ago. While I did think my kids were stars they were not the reason for my feelings, but another pupil whos turn it was to play. She was escorted to the piano by her mother and sat and played the most beautiful tune I had heard in a while. What was so impressive about this was the fact that she was totally blind.

Many years ago I met a young Anglican clergyman who was crippled with rheumatism. he worked as a prison chaplain and had been badly beaten up. He was returning to his duties. That is what I call impressive because he knew the risks and still though these people needed pastoral help

In this day and age of "careers" and "personal fulfilment" AND high divorce rate, elderly couples who still love each others like two love birds and are devoted to eact other through good times AND bad times always impress me most.
