> Do u think ancestors of human were monkey ?
Labsci's first paragraph is great. Yup, we have Old World Monkeys in our family tree. Our last monkey ancestor was about 22 million years ago. More recent ancestors are "apes."
> How ?
We have a lot of anatomical similarities... and a lot of genetic similarities. Absent other better explanations, evolution is the "smoking gun" explanation.

Humans, apes and monkeys had common ancestors.
More recently, humans and apes had common ancestors.
Before you allow creationists to deceive you any further, find out the difference between apes and monkeys. They are not the same.
(The main difference between a monkey and a creationist is that the monkey is not a persistent liar.)

Loved Ken E's response. (ROFL)
As a glaring example of persistent lying ...
jamesyoy02 wrote: "Basing on fossil evidence and also mathematical calculations, evolution is 0.00000000000000000000000001 percent (even much less) to be true and valid."
What mathematical calculations? And how would fossil evidence factor into the computation of that particular number?
Or did jamesyoy02 just type a random number of zeros and call that a "mathematical calculation"?
That is the essence of Creationism. Just make stuff up, repeat it emphatically as if it is fact, and throw in some scienc-ie terms and big numbers to make it sound all smart ... and then 10 other creationists will not only believe it blindly, but will themselves repeat it (dutifully copying all the zeros like they were now proven fact) in five other web sites saying "I read this somewhere." And eventually someone will fill books and web sites with these "facts". And they advertise these sites (see 'dridono.com' for the *truth*"), and take them to school board meetings and legislatures. And thus, the phenomenon of American Creationism is born!
Who needs real science when you can just make stuff up on your own.

When you look broadly at life on Earth Evolution appears the make sense. We are very similar to monkeys so perhaps we are deformed monkeys that we better adapted to an particular environment.
Most scientists strongly believe this to be true, even beyond debate.
However, when we look at the fine detail evolution has many limitations.
1 No beneficial mutations have been generated in the science lab, in spite of millions for a poor little fruit fly that they have been playing with since the 1920's.
2 Every time we change an environment, we decrease the biodiversity. This is in direct contrast to evolutionary teaching, that stable environments increase biodiversity over time.
3. No mutations have been produced that increase genetic information. They all cause it to be lost.
4. Many mutations are reversed after a large number of generations.
So in your answer I'd say Yes, in science exam, but no in reality.

Humans are primates, related to apes not monkeys. Humans were never monkeys but we are distantly related to them. We were never apes either but are more closely related to them. As evidence compare our genes to those of a chimpanzee and you will see that they are 98% the same. compared to a rabbit we are about 68% similar if i remember correctly. All living things are related to each other. how closely is measured by how closely our genetic code matches another species'. humans and monkeys diverged about 20 million years ago from a creature that looked more like a squirrel than a monkey.

Yes, if you saw our ancestors, you would say, "hey, that's a monkey."
Here, meet some of our relatives:
Sahelanthropus tchadensis. 6 to 7 million years ago
Ardipithecus ramidus - 5 to 4 million years ago
Australopithecus afarensis - 4 to 2.7 million years ago
Australopithecus africanus - 3.0 to 2.0 million years ago
Australopithecus robustus - 2.2 to 1.0 million years ago
Homo habilis - 2.2 to 1.6 million years ago
Homo erectus - 2 to 0.4 million years ago
Homo sapiens - 400,000 to 200,000 years ago
(Homo neandertalensis - 200,000 to 30,000 years ago)
Homo sapiens sapiens - 130,000 years ago to present
Before them, between 5 and 10 million years ago, there was our common ancestor with the apes. This is what is romantically called "The missing link".
Before that, at about 15 million years, the "apes" had a common ancestor with monkeys. They were probably not the same as the monkeys of today, but probably easily recognisable as a monkey.
I suggest you read Richard Dawkins "The Ancestors Tale" for a very good description and explanation.

Charles Darwin proposed a theory that our ancestors are monkeys, chimpanzees etc. I think its right because a lot of people around us (including me) behave naughty as a monkey and make others to remember a monkey when they saw us. So children get their habits according to their parents. And the people get their habits according to their ancestors. So ancestors of men are monkeys.

actually the furthest ancestors of humans were not even monkeys but something between a possum and hedgehog. placental, of course, unlike the genuine possum.
we have the similar body shape, body functions, similar genes/not very valuable since we have plenty of genes similar with the fruit fly/.
Same teeth disposition, same diet.
same behavioral patterns. same cognitive functions.

No..
The thing is that humans have not developed from monkeys, they have developed from ape-like mammals.. These apes gave rise to monkeys and humans.. Monkeys are not less evolved, they are infact something like cousins to us..
