Most people view happiness as being glad or joyfull.

The Bible distinguishes between good happenings that are "happy" events with the good feelings or Joy we can feel even when things are going badly.

----------------

Right at this minute I am on the verge of tears because things are not hapening the way I want and I fear the worst for the future. At the same time I am also getting pleasure from the intellectual challenge of Yahoo answers and the occasional evil pleasure of nasty thoughts towards my enemies.

Also at the same time I have a feeling of joy, that comes for no reason. Maybe it is just because I would rather feel happy than sad, even if my whole world seem to be falling in on itself.

Not entirely sure what you mean? Do you mean how do I find personal happiness? What is happiness to me? Not sure what you mean by the word "view"? I don't view happiness as its something one always hopes to FEEL. The use of the word view makes it seem like its something you see, look at and observe. Where as happiness is a feeling, a sense, and emotion... it can't be seen only felt. You can see the signs of happiness in other people. Like when you watch animals playing having fun. Or observe kids smiling, playing and having a carefree time. But you can't ever have any sense of how it FEELs for them at that time.

I guess I "view" happiness as something I rarely feel. I seem to live in a perpetual state of unhappiness, disappointment and feel constantly let down (by my self). I find it hard to feel happy because I worry constantly about things and always feel I am waiting for the next "hump" in the road. Its so hard to be happy to feel it and cherish it for what it really is.

Sorry this seems such a negative and gloomy reply. Its been raining practically non stop for days, I am fed up getting wet! AND my puppy misbehaved badly this morning which makes me feel like she doesn't even like me and has no respect! Oh dear, even the puppy hates me now! LOL

I dont' know, and I really wish I knew. I was just about to post this question actually.

I was going to post it because I want to be happy. Generally I feel happy, but when I'm happy I doubt my happiness.

Just pleasant human interaction makes me happy. Like a smile.

People should SMILE more!

Happiness is not a matter of good fortune or worldly possessions. Its a mental attitude. It comes from appreciating what we have, instead of being miserable about what we don't have. Its so simple - yet so hard for the human mind to comprehend.

Just being alive is happiness enough. The rest fills time between the cradle and the grave - usefully or not.

Happiness for me means that my daughter's are doing well and that I've been able to help make a difference in a child's life. A child not mine.

I view my happyness (just in case i make mistake to y in happiness)...

We have the happiness when:

1. I got my future in hand
2. I got my ambition in real
3. I got everything I REALLY REALLY want.

So I'm happy.

Pain.. There is no lasting happiness, for it is a bio-chemical reaction. When the sensation is gone, we "feel" sad or pain in it's loss. I say "middle ground".
