Ever see an angel breeding setup? http://www.fishforums.net/content/forum/209553/Fishroom-Tour/
As long as it is a 16" deep tank you could keep a pair. I do this all the time, as do all the other angel breeders I know. It is a generally accepted fact that breeding fish are happy healthy fish, angels breed in 20 gallon tanks all the time.
The trick is to get a compatable pair. Get 6 small angels, from a non-corporate owned shop, that are locally bred. This will give you healthy stock, and these sort of shops are the ones that will take 4 potential breeders back when you get a pair. You will have a compatable pair, and make a little profit.

You can have around 4 . Don't go by the rule eventhough it is mostly for non-decorating and crowded tanks that had other fish occupant in it.
Last time I look, those angelfish could get huge like 15cm, but they also one of the hard to kept since they die easily. I am plan to get one for my 10 gallons tank :) with other fish.
My tank is planted tank so I think they will do fine, fish tend to go crazy or lonely if there aren't anything to hide or swim around.
Btw, don't go get angelfish when your tank in a recycle mode, that's mean 1-2 months from your start or from your 100% water change if you ever have to do those . They are weak and won't survive long in a recycling tank compare to other hardy fish like cichlid or gourami.

This would depend on the size you hope them to grow into. The more crowded your tank, the less room they have to grow. Want really big ones? I'd say 2. A nice breeding pair perhaps? Good luck keeping your angels. They are so fragile, but definitely worth the trouble as they are very beautiful and a great joy!
Happy holidays!

well what I would do is only get 2 or 3 of them because angel fish from what i hear get agressive toward each other if there is to many of them. and they can get at a minimum 6 inches big. so id get 2 and then get a couple of other fish.

fishrfin is absolutely right
none, because they need at least a 30 gallon high since they really grow in hight up to 6 inches and need space to move around, also they require a havily planted tank as well
Hope that helps
Good luck

not sure - don't angelfish become agressive if too many of them are confined in one place
like a democratic presidential candidate?

The answer would be 2...because you can only have 1 per every 10 gallons....
