I was a regular 28 days person(cycle) and 5 days max(period flow) until i started using depo provera. While on depo, my period ceases entirly, I stopped it in june after using it for about a year. The problem now is, my periiod lasts for at least 3 wks. Heavy the first 4 days then trickles till it eventually stops. Do i need to seek med advice or is it normal?

This can be a withdrawal bleed from coming off the medication (which can be normal for some women) but I would recommend checking with your doctor as well to see what they say.

It will eighter go away completley or last 3 days at the most. I was on my period for 2.5 months, about 8 months after I started depo. You should be okay just be sure to eat and drink plenty bleeding alot can make you very fatigue.

wether some one else has has similar whilst on depro,I would always go and get it checked out by a professional body,doc etc
better to be safe than sorry
